What To Do With Feedback
Joy Mayer, an associate professor at the Missouri School of Journalism says people generally react to feedback in four ways: with denial, with deflection, with self-righteousness, or with irritation. What we should do instead, no matter what the criticism may be, is breathe, smile and say thank you.
Life should be approached as a conversation, where we listen, and then talk in return. There is value in an feedback, and being open to change improves us to better relationships. Nothing goes perfect the first time; adaptability leads to resiliency.
Ask for feedback, and make your relationships feel like they matter.
