Is Post-Secondary Really a Decent Investment?
With average out-of-state tuitions (in the United States) about three times the normal cost, can the investment be worth it in the end?
Consider all the interest of your student loans, all those research papers, all those nags from your parents about money because they partially helped you out.
Then consider, what if I just started working right out of high school? Could I make more money in that four years—and over the rest of my life—without a degree?
Well, no.
A college grad will on average be paid 1.75$ more per hour if calculated with salaries. Degrees give you opportunities to better jobs, more advancement opportunities, and a more knowledgable perspective in life. This all will generally, make you much happier of a person.
Maximize fulfillment, not income.
