Devastating Drought in Kenya
Extreme weather patterns are something that will probably be found everywhere in the world – and the Horn of Africa is one of those places. The worst drought in decades has hit the region, and the already dire consequences continue to amass, causing a great humanitarian crisis in that region of the world.
The wild-life as well as the people are dying of thirst, and the ones alive are trying to find ways to procure water from the least likely of places. And to add to the fire, a growing number of people from Somalia are leaving their country because of drought or conflict and heading towards Dabaab, Kenya, where the world’s largest refugee complex is located.
Things are looking very gloomy for the area, and as the world’s weather patterns continue to grow volatile only more chaos can be expected from the area. Do we still need more proof about global warming and water shortages? This reporter doesn’t think so….
…But we shan’t give up…what do you guys think we can do to help alleviate these problems and help these poor people? Please, share your thoughts!
