The Natural History Museum in London has over 70 million specimens of animals, including species that no longer exist in the world today.

The museum is the first to include a specimen model of a Dodo, an extinct kind of species that was only found to have lived in New Zealand. David Attenbourough’s Ark is the idea of choosing ten species from the museum to take with you on the ark, as the story of Noah’s Ark goes.

The ten species that David Attenborough chooses are the ones he finds special and endangered. BBC films this documentary based on those ten species and why they are chosen to board the ark.
