“It is a tea database for people to refer to and that’s what is really exciting about the direction Cha will be taking.”

Also, the first 100 readers who like and comment  on their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/tastecha) will have a chance to win a free monthly subscription.

Truthfully, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I received my invitation to the launch. Several companies were already either selling tea or tea paraphernalia; some of whom were well-established as a go-to brand for tea products. However, Cha had been so mysterious about its concept that I was able to build a healthy dose of curiosity prior to the event…and they delivered.

Ultimately, I decided to best way to test out the model was to see if it worked on me. I took the short quiz, focused on my taste and habits, and discovered I was a Naturalist like David. I was passed a kit with information on the tea, its benefits, suitable food pairings and a story about its origins. Despite my doubts on the survey, I went home and steeped myself a cup, following the directions provided in the kit.

I eyed the cup filled with South African Red Tea, sighed and took a sip….I couldn’t believe my luck! The taste was subtle – just how I like my tea – and the perfect way to unwind after a busy day.

So what do I think of Cha? A new way to be guided through your tea experience, and which eliminates all the frustrations customers might otherwise experience. If you still hold any reservations, get ready to be pleasantly surprised!
