How To Make It in Hollywood
Danny Strong, known for his appearances on Mad Men, Gilmore Girls, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer, tells us how the silver screen is as competitive as professional sports, and sees the same success rate for all those wishing to make it to the big time.
In terms of writing a script, and pitching it, there’s no luck involved; it doesn’t matter who’s name is on it, the producers must be engaged from the start. Paint an accurate and detailed picture, be specific but open for discussion. Pitches are allowed to go over 30 minutes, don’t be shy!
Remember to thank me in your Oscar speech.
